Singer-actor Lee Seung Gi reportedly shaved his head recently.
According to a report from Ten Asia on November 23rd, Lee Seung Gi recently shaved his head at Sujongsa Temple in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
Director Yang Woo Suk’s film “Large Family”, which is scheduled to be released in 2023, revealed that Lee Seung Gi was determined to immerse himself in his character. According to officials, Lee Seung Gi, who is currently filming “Large Family”, voluntarily shaved his head to portray his character perfectly and express the religious spirit.
“Large Family” is a comic human dramatic film based on family material. It tells the story that takes place after an elite med student (Lee Seung Gi) leaves his single father behind and becomes the chief monk of a temple.
Lee Seung Gi has recently been in dispute with his agency. The actor claimed that he had not been paid by HOOK Entertainment for his music activities over the past 18 years and sent a content certification demanding the disclosure of his music revenue details. Apart from the “slave contract”, HOOK’s CEO Kwon Jin Young is also suspected of gaslighting Lee Seung Gi by saying things like, “you’re a minus singer”, “your fans don’t buy albums”, etc.
In this regard, CEO Kwon stated, “Whether the controversies are true or not, I’m deeply ashamed of myself. Everything is my fault and it’s all due to my lack of virtue”, adding “If there is any part that HOOK or I, personally, are confirmed to be legally responsible for, we will take full responsibility without stepping back and avoiding it.”
HOOK was recently raided by the police. The reason of the seizure and search is speculated to be related to the embezzlement charges of Kang Jong Hyun, the ex-boyfriend of actress Park Min Young.
