On November 26, Lee Seung Gi appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U’s radio show “Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope.” During the broadcast, DJ Kim Shin Young asked, “If your daughter shows musical talent, would you let her become a singer?”
Lee Seung Gi responded, “That’s something I’ve thought about even before she was born. Personally, I really hope she doesn’t.”
Reflecting on his own journey, he said, “I’ve experienced the transitional phases of the entertainment industry with my whole body. Of course, this is a great and rewarding profession, but while success brings happiness, getting to that point requires immense sacrifice and pain.”
He continued, “People often say studying is easier, and I never used to understand that. But now I do. Studying takes place within the framework of a school. In entertainment, there’s no such boundary you’re on your own. Being in this industry is like surviving in the wild, and I’m not sure I could watch my child go through that.”
“Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope” airs daily from 12 PM to 2 PM KST on MBC FM4U (Seoul Capital Area 91.9MHz), and is also available via PC and smartphone through the ‘mini’ app.
