During an appearance on the TV show Video Star, Lee Seon Jeong shared that she got married in 2012 after dating her partner for only 45 days. However, the marriage quickly fell apart due to differences that became apparent after they began living together. Although she said she does not regret the relationship, the actress admitted that her decision to marry so quickly was rushed.

When asked about the reason behind the divorce, she answered candidly, “Isn’t divorce usually because two people are incompatible? Not only were our personalities incompatible, but even our physical compatibility wasn’t right. That alone was enough.”

Following the breakup, Lee Seon Jeong said she suffered from prolonged stress and turned to intense workouts and alcohol as a way to cope emotionally. At first, she did not realize that her symptoms were related to mental health issues, especially after undergoing medical tests such as CT scans and MRIs that showed no abnormalities.

“About six months later, I started developing panic disorder. I couldn’t go to crowded places like supermarkets. I felt like I was going to collapse and even heard strange sounds,” she revealed.

The actress explained that the psychological scars lasted for years, especially in a society where divorce still carries social stigma. She admitted she spent a long time living with regret but is now gradually recovering and finding emotional stability again.

Lee Seon Jeong is known as both an actress and television personality in South Korea. Throughout her career, she has appeared in various television programs and gained attention for her honest and unfiltered personality when discussing her private life.

In film, she appeared in projects such as The Scent, The Attorney, Casa Amor: Exclusive for Ladies, and The Wailing. However, most of her appearances were supporting or minor roles and did not become major breakthrough performances in her acting career.
