Actress Lee Se Young, along with singer-actors Ong Seong Wu and Kang Seung Yoon, will headline the final episode of the special three-part series of SBS’s popular show Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail. The show, known for its unique format of “storytellers” sharing real-life cases with close friends in intimate settings, has gained steady popularity since its pilot in 2020, even achieving a peak rating of 6.4%.

According to OSEN on January 21, the trio recently completed recording their segment for the show. This upcoming episode wraps up the Target K series, which delves into transnational crimes targeting Korean citizens such as drug trafficking, murder, voice phishing, and romance scams.

Kang Seung Yoon, a Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail veteran, returns for the fourth time, having previously participated in episodes covering high-profile cases like the 1991 Mogadishu escape and the murder of Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok. Meanwhile, this marks the Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail debut for Lee Se Young and Ong Seong Wu.

Lee Se Young’s appearance is especially noteworthy as it’s her first variety show following her departure from her agency of 11 years. As she gears up for major releases on Disney+ (The Remarried Empress) and Netflix (Long Vacation), fans are eager to see her in this fresh setting. Ong Seong Wu also joins the cast ahead of the release of his upcoming tvN series Chilling Romance, making Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail his first variety show of 2026.

Their episode, titled The Business of Evil, will explore the story of Frank Chinedu Obioha, an international drug kingpin who exploited Korean women as drug mules to smuggle narcotics across Southeast Asia and into Europe. The special continues the Target K series, which has previously featured stories about notorious figures like drug lord Park Wang-yeol and the real-life inspiration behind Narco-Saints.

SBS’s Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail airs every Thursday at 10:20 PM KST.
