On August 12, Lee posted a new episode titled “Every Morning is a Battle — MJ’s Family Vlog” on her YouTube channel Lee Min-jung MJ. While demonstrating her “morning home-cooked meal” routine, she spotted her 19-month-old daughter Seoi on camera and quickly shielded her face for privacy, melting hearts with her affectionate “So cute!” remark.

Lee explained her household’s breakfast culture:

“Since I was young, I always heard, ‘You have to eat breakfast.’ If I skip it, the day doesn’t start. My husband and my son Joon-ho are also the type who never skip breakfast. It’s tiring to prepare everything, but I also enjoy it.”

She shared that her family’s favorites are spicy pork stir-fry and braised spicy chicken — to the point that she buys an extra eight chicken drumsticks to avoid fights over the legs.

The amusing disagreement began when the family planned to watch The Match, a Christian-themed film Lee Byung-hun had dubbed, at 2 p.m. That morning, Lee Byung-hun ate breakfast at 10:30 a.m. Around 12:40 p.m., their son Joon-ho requested jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), so Lee ordered for him — assuming her husband wasn’t hungry yet.

Just before leaving for the movie, Lee Byung-hun suddenly asked, “Why didn’t you ask about my lunch?” Lee replied, half-teasing, “At the theater, you could eat a hot dog or grab something light. Why should I always have to ask?” Their son, unfazed by the tension, grinned at the camera and said, “I’m on camera!”

After the screening, Lee Min-jung appeared with puffy eyes from crying at the film’s emotional scenes. When Joon-ho asked why, the camera blurred Lee Byung-hun’s face as he quipped, “I also don’t understand why,” showcasing his signature deadpan humor.

Netizens responded with laughter and sympathy, leaving comments like:

  • “That darn food obsession, seriously!”
  • “BH, JH — please treat MJ better!”

The clip quickly became a fan favorite, blending heartwarming family life with the kind of playful marital banter many can relate to.
