The filming for “Ask The Stars”, starring Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho, has been completed.
“Ask The Stars” marked the reunion of ‘romantic comedy master’ writer Seo Sook Hyang and director Park Shin Woo, known for his delicate directing skills after “Jealousy Incarnate”. The production team finished all the filming work on April 12th and is preparing for post-production.
As the setting is in space, visual effects (VFX) are expected to be used mostly throughout the drama. After wrapping up the filming, the production team will focus on the post-production process to enhance the drama’s quality. “Ask the Stars” production staff shared, “We used various filming techniques to express weightlessness inside the spacecraft, the display of stars outside the space station, as well as the vast scenery of space. Therefore, viewers can expect a visually stunning experience.”
In addition, they shared, “I’m deeply grateful to all the actors and staff who had worked hard day and night so that we could complete the filming safely”, adding “Thanks to the perfect teamwork and chemistry of Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin, the filming was able to go smoothly. Viewers will also be drawn into their acting like getting in a black hole”, stimulating fans’ curiosity.
Meanwhile, “Ask the Stars” is the first K-drama set against the backdrop of a space station and a romcom about a romance between Earth and space. In the drama, Lee Min Ho plays Gong Ryong, an obstetrician-gynecologist who enters the space station as a tourist, while Gong Hyo Jin appears as Captain Eve Kim, a perfectionist top astronaut who doesn’t allow a single mistake. Against the spectacular backdrop of space, the two are set to meet by fate and present a special romance. Information on the release platform and date have not yet been announced.
