On October 28, a new episode of the YouTube talk show Jeeseokjin World, hosted by comedian Ji Suk-jin, featured guests Lee Mi-joo and actor Lee Sang-yeob. The trio shared food, laughter, and open conversations about life, work, and love.
During the casual chat, Mi-joo playfully described herself as someone who gives “world-class reactions” when in a relationship.
“When my boyfriend gives me a gift, I say, ‘Oh my gosh, really? I love it! What do I do?’ I react super dramatically,” she said, laughing.
Ji Suk-jin then teased her, asking, “Then why don’t you have a boyfriend now?” Mi-joo burst into laughter and replied, “Maybe because I react too much!”
The topic soon turned more serious when Ji Suk-jin asked whether she would date someone from the same field. Mi-joo responded honestly, saying she prefers not to.
“I don’t date people in the same industry,” she admitted. “If we ever break up, there’s always a chance we’ll run into each other again and that’s something I’d rather avoid.”

Mi-joo’s comments come months after her public breakup with footballer Song Bum-keun, who currently plays in Japan’s J.League. The two began dating publicly in April 2024, but confirmed their separation in January 2025 after less than a year together.
In July, Mi-joo faced new dating rumors linking her to baseball player Lee Jin-young of the Hanwha Eagles, but her agency swiftly denied the claims, calling them “completely groundless.”
