“The genre is Lee Junho.” That’s how viewers are describing tvN’s weekend drama Typhoon Family, as lead actor Lee Junho continues to dominate the small screen with his passionate performance and the drama’s whirlwind-paced storyline.
According to Nielsen Korea, the episode aired on October 19 recorded a nationwide average rating of 9% and peaked at 9.8%, marking a new personal best for the series. In the 2049 (viewers aged 20~49) target demographic, it also topped all channels including major networks with a 2.7% peak rating.

In this episode, newly appointed CEO Kang Tae-poong (Lee Junho) and manager Oh Mi-seon (Kim Min-ha) joined forces in a high-stakes business maneuver. Using a contractual loophole involving units of measurement, Tae-poong turned the tables on rival Pyo Sang Seon’s CEO Pyo Bak-ho (Kim Sang-ho), reclaiming his company’s pride and proving his sharp instincts as a businessman.
From the bustling markets of Busan’s International Market to the discovery of a new export item the Shubak safety shoes, the episode balanced tension, humor, and heart. Tae-poong’s emotional sincerity, especially his sand-written apology to Mi-seon on the beach, gave the story a touching human moment amid corporate chaos.

The episode concluded with a dramatic cliffhanger: Tae-poong’s home seized through auction, signaling another storm in his life. Meanwhile, rival Bak-ho, having been outwitted once, hinted at revenge, saying, “What will it feel like when a young man starts losing everything one by one?”
Despite the turbulence, the final scene showed Tae-poong’s unwavering determination his gaze fixed on the safety shoes glowing under the office lights, a metaphor for hope and resilience.
With each episode, Typhoon Family cements itself as one of 2025’s standout K-dramas, combining smart storytelling with heartfelt emotion.
