Actor Lee Junho has once again proven his unstoppable star power. Following the global success of King the Land, his latest Netflix original series Cashero has soared to the top of the global charts. In just its second week, Cashero claimed the No.1 spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 for non-English TV shows, marking Lee Junho’s second global No.1 and his fourth consecutive hit since his military discharge.

Released on December 26, 2025, Cashero tells the story of Kang Sang Woong (played by Lee Junho), an everyday government worker struggling with rising housing prices and marriage costs. He unexpectedly inherits a supernatural ability from his father: the more money he carries, the stronger he becomes. Caught between financial burdens and superpowers, he embodies a hilariously relatable “everyman hero” navigating a capitalist world.

Cashero recorded 6.1 million views and entered the Top 10 list in 51 countries, overtaking Sweden’s Land of Sin and Korea’s Culinary Class Wars 2. It’s particularly notable that the show gained even more traction in its second week, indicating strong word-of-mouth and sustained viewer interest.

Junho’s character in Cashero isn’t your typical righteous hero. Sang Woong is moderately selfish, reluctantly generous, and often frustrated by his odd “pay-to-play” powers. Yet as the story progresses, his sense of justice slowly awakens—without ever falling into cliché superhero tropes. Lee Junho brings this character to life with heartfelt emotion, comic timing, and impressive action scenes.

Since completing his military service, Lee Junho has built an exceptional streak of hits. His post-service breakout, The Red Sleeve, cemented his reputation as a leading actor. This was followed by King the Land, which became the first drama since Extraordinary Attorney Woo to rank No.1 on Netflix’s combined English and non-English TV charts. That drama also pulled off the rare feat of both domestic ratings success (peaking at 13.8%) and global recognition.

He continued this momentum with Typhoon Family, which recently wrapped with strong ratings, and now Cashero making it four hits in a row. His next move? The big screen. Junho has confirmed his role in Veteran 3, directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, where he will play a ruthless villain a major shift from his usual roles. Fans are eagerly anticipating how this “trustworthy actor” will take on his first full-fledged film villain role, showcasing yet another side of his evolving talent.
