Lee Junho, lead actor of the tvN weekend drama Typhoon Family, recently expressed his affection for traditional long-format storytelling during a live broadcast aired on October 27 through Channel 15ya.
In the live session hosted by acclaimed producer Na Young-seok, both Lee Junho and co-star Kim Min-ha joined to share behind-the-scenes insights and their personal connections to the drama.
When asked what initially drew him to the project, Lee Junho replied, “I was fascinated by how it captured the atmosphere of that era. These days, with the rise of short-form content, it’s rare to come across a full-length 16-episode drama. That made me want to take on something more immersive and paced.”

He added, “I received the first four episodes of the script, and right after reading them, I could already visualize the scenes I wanted to portray. It was so fun that I felt I had to try it.”
PD Na cheekily asked if he simply skips over projects he doesn’t want to do. Junho replied with a smile, “It’s not that I don’t want to do certain dramas. But with the ones that really click, I find myself reading them in the middle of meals or before bed I just get that curious and focused.”
Actress Kim Min-ha also spoke highly of the script, saying, “It felt warm. Every line hit me, and each character felt precious. The story is romantic in the sense that it shows everyone matters and is needed it was so charming.”
tvN’s Typhoon Family airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM KST.
