Actor Lee Jung Jae talked about being selected as the male lead in the American “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte” and “Squid Game” season 2.
The 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards handprinting event was held at Incheon Global Campus in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon on the afternoon of June 27th. Actors Lee Jung Jae, Kim Go Eun, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Shin Rok, Koo Kyo Hwan, Jung Ho Yeon, Joo Hyun Young and broadcaster Kim Shin Young attended the event.
When asked how he had been for the past year, Lee Jung Jae replied, “I filmed the ‘Star Wars’ TV series until May this year. It was an all-location filming in London.“
He added, “I filmed in Europe and elsewhere. It was a meaningful experience for me personally. I had a hard time because there were so many English lines, but it was fun. The actors and staff who worked with me helped me a lot, so I finished filming happily.”
Regarding season 2 of Netflix’s series “Squid Game”, which recently released the cast lineup, he said, “I can’t tell you because the security is thorough. It’s certain that I’ll appear as Seong Gi Hun.”
Meanwhile, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards will be held at Paradise Hotel, Jung-gu, Incheon on July 19th and will be broadcast on KBS 2TV at 8:30 PM on the same day.
