Lee Jun Ho and Yoona return to the small screen with an exciting love story that will make viewers smile.

JTBC’s new Sat-Sun drama “King the Land” (written by Choi Rom/ directed by Im Hyun Wook) tells the story of Goo Won, a man who hates smiles, and Cheon Sa Rang, a woman who always smiles, at the VVIP lounge King the Land, known as the dream of hoteliers.

On May 12th, the production team of “King the Land” released the second teaser video depicting the fateful love story between Goo Won (Lee Jun Ho) and Cheon Sa Rang (Yoona). The video begins with the two, who coincidentally meet at the King Hotel and fall in love at first sight with each other, exchanging sweet gazes. The atmosphere quickly changes as Goo Won raises the corner of his mouth and Cheon Sa Rang smiles refreshingly, showing contrasting expressions.

Their affectionate eyes disappear in an instant as they exchange sharp words, such as “Let’s not meet again”, “I’ll try to avoid you from now on”, etc., drawing laughter. Cheon Sa Rang calls Goo Won a “perverted jerk”, and hides the smile that had always been on her face. Meanwhile, Goo Won wittily responded, “Where else would you find a pervert like me?”

The scene where Cheon Sa Rang says, “I can’t communicate with a person like you”, and Goo Won replies, “You won’t be able to communicate with me anyway”, highlights the differences in their personalities. This also shows how Goo Won, a hotel director who hates fake smiles, and Cheon Sa Rang, a hotelier who must smile even when she doesn’t feel like it, live in completely different worlds.

What makes Goo Won and Cheon Sa Rang fall for each other just by looking into each other’s eyes? Especially, their subtle expressions as they lean in towards each other in the final scene of the teaser suggest that their relationship will gradually change.

“King the Land”, starring Lee Jun Ho and Yoona, will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on June 17th.
