Actor Lee Joon Gi and actress Shin Se Kyung joined the tvN drama “Arthdal Chronicles Season 2” in place of Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won.
According to tvN on November 15th, “Arthdal Chronicles Season 2” is scheduled to air next year, 3 years after the end of season 1 in September 2019.
In particular, Lee Joon Gi will transform into Eunseom (played by Song Joong Ki in season 1), who became a powerful power in the eastern part of the continent. Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung takes up the role of Tanya (played by Kim Ji Won in season 1), a powerful axis of the three powers of Arthdal, who raised to such a position from a powerless slave.
“Arthdal Chronicles Season 2” is set 8 years after Tagon (Jang Dong Gun) takes the throne in season 1, and Lee Joon Gi (Eunseom, Saya), Jang Dong Gun (Tagon), Shin Se Kyung (Tanya), and Kim Ok Bin (Tae Alha) will come together to create a new story.
Season 2 of “Arthdal Chronicles” is written by writers Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who was also in charge of season 1, and directed by Kim Kwang Sik, who directed the movie “The Great Battle”. In addition, cinematographer Choi Chan Min of “Kundo: Age of the Rampant” and “The Spy Gone North”, art director Hwa Seong of “Hansan: Rising Dragon” and ”Noryang”, costume director Cho Sang Kyung of “Mr. Sunshine,” and VFX producer M83 of “Vincenzo” will work together to realize a more realistic world view.
