Lee Jin-ho: “Son Na-eun couldn’t join Apink’s comeback because of Park Cho-rong’s incident”

Lee Jin-ho told the story behind Son Na-eun’s absence from Apink’s complete group activities.

On Feb 15th, a video titled “Reasons why Son Na-eun was unfairly cursed at” was uploaded on the Youtube channel of Entertainment President Lee Jinho.

Regarding Apink‘s release of its special album “HORN” on Feb 14th, which marks the 11th anniversary of its debut, Lee Jin-ho questioned, “Why are they starting their activities now after a year of delay and not right at the 10th anniversary of their debut?”

In the meantime, he claimed that the background was mostly the bullying controversy of member Park Cho-rong. Lee Jin-ho said, “A, who raised the school violence suspicion, and Park Cho-rong have had a fierce battle with each other until January,” adding, “Apink was scheduled to release a special album to mark their 10th anniversary last year. However, due to the legal battle that continued until the beginning of this year, they were rarely able to schedule a comeback,” he said.

One of the most damaged people in the process was Son Na-eun, he claimed. “Son Na-eun was planning her schedule with Apink while she was also in the process of deciding her work. As Apink’s plan didn’t happen, she had to go on with her acting works,” he said adding, “There were a lot of works that had sent their offers to Son Na-eun. However, Son Na-eun put more weight on Apink’s comeback as she has promised with her members to come back as a whole group,” he said.

In the process, Son Na-eun had to refuse some works that wanted to recruit her. However, their comeback schedule continued to be postponed due to the Park Cho-rong incident. He explained, “After much consideration, she decided to accept a new work, which coincidentally coincided with Apink’s activities as a whole group.”

Lee Jin-ho said, “Even YG, which recruited Son Na-eun, could not wait for Apink’s comeback schedule. From Son Na-eun’s point of view, it would have been a dilemma,” he said. “In fact, since Son Na-eun chose to go to YG in April last year, the agency has suggested her to leave Apink? However, I heard that Son Na-eun had refused, saying, ‘How can I abandon the group that raised me?'”

“As a result, if Son Na-eun had made a clear decision at the time, she would not have been criticized like this. It’s a matter of thinking about whether Son Na-eun is the one who has to be criticized unilaterally for this incident,” he said.
