On Jan 2nd, the first recording of KBS2’s “The Seasons Season 4: Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet” was held at KBS’s new building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie appeared as a guest in the first recording of “Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet” that day. Jennie, who appeared with a flower bouquet, drew attention by preparing a letter for Lee Hyori.
In the letter, she wrote, “Congratulations on the first episode of ‘The Seasons’. Thank you for inviting me. I couldn’t be happier to meet and know you, my eternal idol. Please feel free to contact me. I really like you a lot.”
In response, Lee Hyori teased “You only said but didn’t give me your contact information” then added, “Thank you so much.” She continued, “When I think of Jennie, many people from all over the world want to invite her, right? She’s busy.” Jennie revealed her affection as a fan, “Actually, when I first got an invitation call, I was nervous because it’s been a while since I was on a TV show. I came to see Hyori. Thank you for inviting me.”
Lee Hyori said, “I’m thankful. I’ve seen Jennie twice. Once, during my promotional activities for the song ‘Black’, I saw her when I passed by the corridor.” Jennie recalled, “Hyori looked at me standing in the corridor, touched my cheek and left. I was so heartstruck that I couldn’t sleep that night.”
Lee Hyori shared, “I remember it so well. It was rude to touch the face of someone whom I didn’t know. Jennie still had a baby face at that time. She looked at me with shining eyes like she wanted me to touch her face. So, my hand went out without me realizing it.“
