Lee Hyori warms fans’ hearts by showing support for Hwasa and her new solo release.
MAMAMOO Hwasa has recently been promoting her new solo song. In support of this, on September 7th, Lee Hyori posted a dance challenge video on her Instagram story.
In the video, Lee Hyori performs the choreography of Hwasa’s new song ‘I Love My Body.’
Displaying her dazzling dance skills, characteristic of a former dance singer, Lee Hyori appeared without makeup in a bikini outfit, capturing the attention of netizens.
Considering that Hwasa’s new release conveys a message of true beauty and cherishing and loving one’s body above all else, it seems that Lee Hyori chose to wear a revealing outfit without additional makeup to express her true self.
Lee Hyori and Hwasa became close through the MBC variety show ‘Hangout with Yoo’.
Although Lee Hyori started her career in the music industry as a member of Fin.K.L in 1998 and Hwasa debuted with MAMAMOO in 2014, with a 16-year gap in their debut years and no prior acquaintance, they became closer through the formation of the project group ‘Refund Sisters’ on the show.
They later reunited through tvN variety show ‘Dancing Queens on the Road’ and deepened their friendship while touring the country for concerts.
Lee Hyori even mentioned Hwasa as a “junior she truly cherishes” during her ‘Dancing Queens on the Road’ performance.
On MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ that aired on September 6th, Hwasa also proudly spoke about her friendship with Lee Hyori, saying that they get along like friends. Hwasa said, “Lee Hyori is straightforward, and I am too, so we seem to get along well. She always silently supports me. She’s a senior who gives me the strength, inspiration, and motivation to move forward.”
On another note, Hwasa moved to Psy’s entertainment company, P Nation, in June. She recently released a digital single album titled ‘I Love My Body’ and began her first solo activities under the new agency.
