On April 10th, the production team revealed character posters for Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon, Kim Bum, and Ryu Kyung Soo in “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938”. In the age of chaos, characters who went on a merciless hunt amplified the audience’s curiosity about their story.

“Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” depicts the story of nine-tailed fox Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook), who unexpectedly lands in the chaotic era of 1938 and tries to return to the present day.

“Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” is a prequel to the 2020 drama, “Tale of the Nine Tailed”. Now that it has returned after three years, a unique world interweaving indigenous gods and native monsters, dynamic action and scale, as well as more diverse and vivid mythical characters will be introduced.

The reunion of director Kang Shin Hyo and writer Han Woo Ri, who created a new world of “K-fantasy”, also excites drama fans. Furthermore, the collaboration of trustworthy actors Lee Dong Wook, Kim So Yeon, Kim Bum, and Ryu Kyung Soo is expected to be a highlight.

In the revealed character posters, the breathtaking aura of Lee Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo (played by Kim So Yeon), Lee Rang (played by Kim Bum), and Cheon Moo Young (played by Ryu Kyung Soo) captivates the viewer’s attention.

Meaningful weapons are held in the hands of the four individuals who blend into the era. First to catch the eye is nine-tailed fox Lee Yeon holding a Winchester rifle. His words, “Is it confusing? I understand because that’s exactly how I feel right now,” show the character’s unusual change after unexpectedly landing in 1938. Despite losing the lover he must protect, his gaze shines even colder and sharper. What his target will be at the end of the gun barrel and how he will become stronger through the time-crossing hunt remain to be seen.

In 1938, half nine-tailed fox Lee Rang greets everyone with a provocative message, “Bro, are you still not dead?” His rebellious gaze reflects the time when he used to hate his brother before resolving their misunderstanding. His rugged hand axe, which greatly contrasts with his elegant suit, is also fierce. Viewers are curious about his reaction to his brother, whom he reunites with while having different memories and conflicting feelings.
