The 2023 SBS Entertainment Awards took place at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul on the evening of December 30th. The event was hosted by broadcasters Lee Sang-min, Lee Hyun-yi and actress Kim Ji-eun.
That day, Lee Dong-gun was announced as the winner of Hot Issue Award for his performance in “My Little Old Boy”.
Delivering his acceptance speech, the actor said, “It turned out that I received a lot of support and comfort from so many people after joining ‘My Little Old Boy’. I’m feeling so thankful.”
He continued, “90% of this achievement was thanks to my mom”, adding “I also want to thank Kim Ji-seok for reaching out to me and helping me when I needed strength. You were really cool”.
Lastly, he said, “And also my daughter Roa, who is the prettiest in the world. Dad won this award thanks to you, and I want to say thank you so much. I will try to show a more sincere and natural side of me next year”.
