Lee Do Hyun turns to the dark side in new romantic comedy drama

Lee Do Hyun takes on an evil character in JTBC’s new drama “The Good Bad Mother”.

Following his performance as a guilt-ridden plastic surgeon Joo Yeo Jeong in “The Glory”, Lee Do Hyun is returning to the small screen as Choi Kang Ho, a heartless and practical prosecutor. For this role, Lee Do Hyun drops his good-guy image and crosses to the dark side. Not the sweet, hopeless romantic kind of guy from “18 Again” or “The Glory”, This Lee Do Hyun is cruel and evil.

Choi Kang Ho from “The Good Bad Mother” was raised in a toxic environment and under immense study pressure from a young age, he soon becomes an outstanding prosecutor but at the cost of his humanity. The older Kang Ho grows, the colder he gets. He becomes heartless, rational, and out of love for his mother. He is cruel with people around him and outright takes advantage of them without blinking. Kang Ho even got engaged to the daughter of the President to be an heir.

Viewers were confused but pleased with this drastic transformation from the actor in just the first week of the airing of the series. Lee Do Hyun further solidifies himself as a versatile actor capable of taking on different roles. Nonetheless, the audience is more eager to see how Lee Do Hyun will handle the transition from a heartless prosecutor to a farm guy with a mind of a 7-year-old after a road accident.
