The title Lee Do Hyun calls Song Hye Kyo is attracting attention.
In the behind-the-scenes commentary of “The Glory“, which was released on Jan 6th, writer Kim Eun Sook, director Ahn Gil Ho, Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon, Lee Do Hyun and Yeom Hye Ran appeared to share stories.
At the beginning of the interview, writer Kim Eun Sook mentioned Ju Yeo Jeong (played by Lee Do Hyun) and Moon Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo) with a smile, “This sometimes happens when I’m writing a drama. Sometimes I end up writing a 16-episode series because I had an idea of how the 16-episode series should end. This was the first scene I thought of when I thought of Yeo Jeong and Dong Eun.“
This is a scene in which Moon Dong Eun replies “I need an executioner, not a prince” to Ju Yeo Jeong’s sudden confession while sitting face to face and playing Go.
Writer Kim Eun Sook explained, “I just thought of Yeo Jeong as the executioner. He was the executioner who’ll wield the knife. And Dong Eun was the one who didn’t need a prince. With this one scene, Dong Eun and Yeo Jeong were created.“
Lim Ji Yeon admired the love line scene between Lee Do Hyun and Song Hye Kyo, “After watching my scenes, even briefly seeing this scene makes it feel refreshing. It feels like I’m being purified.“
On the other hand, Lee Do Hyun confessed his worries in the past. He said, “When we were filming early on, I asked Director Ahn, ‘We’re filming The Glory, right?’ Because the scenes shot the day before and the day before that, all had beating, cursing, bleeding and even extra-marital affairs. We were filming things like that. But the scenes that sis (Song Hye Kyo) and I shot were very sweet.“
In the midst of this, what stood out was the title Lee Do Hyun naturally called Song Hye Kyo. Lee Do Hyun referred to Song Hye Kyo as “sis” in a friendly way. The age difference between the two is 14 years. Song Hye Kyo was born in 1981 (41 years old) and Lee Do Hyun was born in 1995 (27 years old).
Even their debut years show a big difference. Lee Do Hyun debuted in 2017 and Song Hye Kyo is a big senior who debuted in 1996. As such, the closeness between the two was revealed.
The friendship between the two was captured at the filming site in the past. At that time, Song Hye Kyo posted a photo of her lovingly looking at a dog with the caption, “Cute Gaeul I met at the filming site!” “Gaeul” is known as Lee Do Hyun’s dog, drawing attention.
