Lee Da-in tied the knot with her lover Lee Seung-gi after dating for a long time in April. The two then held their wedding at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas. The two hired the Grand Ballroom, which is the largest wedding hall in Seoul as it can accommodate up to 940 guests and one of the most luxurious wedding halls in Korea as it costs at least 100 million won for an event.
Taking a hiatus after the 2020 drama “Alice”, Lee Da-in resumed acting activities right after her wedding. Starring in “My Dearest”, one of the most successful series of 2023 despite being a historical drama, the actress showcased a new image and proved her passion for acting.
In the meantime, Lee Da-in announced the news of her pregnancy in November, seven months after her wedding. At that time, the actress’s agency revealed that she would welcome her child in February of 2024.
Due to her pregnancy announcement in the middle of “My Dearest” filming, many people wondered if the actress would drop out of the drama. However, Lee Da-in decided to complete all the shoots for “My Dearest”. In an interview with Newsen after the drama ended, actress Ahn Eun-jin shared, “She told me about her pregnancy just before the articles broke out. While wondering what we should do with the remaining shoots in the cold weather. I was very worried and I even thought about discussing it with the production team, but she said it was okay and we finished the filming healthily with no problems.”
In the end, Lee Da-in successfully completed “My Dearest”. After wrapping up the series, she confessed, “I was very happy to play Eun-ae and work with everyone for a long time. I think this drama will remain a meaningful memory in my heart for a long time. It was even more memorable because many things happened while I was living the life of Eun-ae. Thank you for giving me such a great character in a good drama. I will return with better acting to repay the love I received.”
Since Lee Da-in will give birth to her first child soon, the actress may have to take a break. However, expectations are high for the actress to greet fans with more diverse acting projects after welcoming a new life to her family.
