Lee Chan-won’s reaction to MC Hong Jin-kyung’s question “If Sunmi asks you out, will you accept?”

Singer Lee Chan-won revealed that he was a fan of Wonder Girls’ Sunmi.

On the January 20 broadcast of tvN’s “Mama The Idol“, Sunmi made a guest appearance for a special duet performance.

Prior to Sunmi‘s appearance, MC Hong Jin-kyung revealed, “I heard a little bit in the waiting room. Chan-won said ‘Actually, I was a fan of this person (in Wonder Girls) rather than Sunye.”

In response, Lee Chan-won talked about Sunmi, “I once met her on another program, but my heart beat so fast that I couldn’t remember how I recorded it with her.”

When Hong Jin-kyung asked “If she asks you out, will you accept?”, Lee Chan-won was so embarrassed that his ears turned red.

Afterwards, Sunye and Sunmi performed “Gashina” together for the first time in 13 years. After the two finished the stage, Hong Jin-kyung said, “Before Sunmi came out, we kept talking about the fact that Chan-won was a big fan of yours.”

Sunmi and Lee Chan-won first met through TV Chosun’s “PPONG School” in the past. Sunmi, who reunited with him after a year, looked at Hong Jin-kyung and shared, “(Lee Chan-won) was gentle even back then.”

When Hong Jin-kyung said “Don’t look at me. You two should make eye contact and talk to each other”, Lee Chan-won shouted, “I’m lucky today!”

As Sunmi slowly approached his side, Lee Chan-won made everyone burst into laughter by sitting down on the stage and exclaiming, “Oh my gosh.”
