The popularity of a new girl group supported by Lee Byung-hun is unusual

Actor Lee Byung-hun cheered for the debut showcase of girl group IRRIS with a coffee truck.

On the morning of July 6th, the showcase to commemorate the release of IRRIS‘ first mini-album “WANNA KNOW” was held at Crest 72 in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.

At the entrance of the showcase venue, a coffee truck sent by Lee Byung-hun drew attention. According to an official, Lee Byung-hun has a long-standing relationship with an official from IRRIS’ agency, and he starred in the drama “Iris” with the same name as IRRIS.

In addition, IRRIS member I.L is appearing in the drama “Villains” starring Lee Byung-hun’s wife Lee Min-jung.

IRRIS is a four-member girl group consisting of I.L, Nina, Yunseul and Liv. The team name “IRRIS” is based on the Greek word “Ἶρις”, meaning goddesses who shine by illuminating their inner souls.

The title track “WANNA KNOW” is an exquisite combination of the dynamic rhythm and the addictive melody that start from the intro. It tactfully expresses the frustration of the other person whom you gave everything and loved.

Notably, the music video for ‘WANNA KNOW’, released on this day, surpassed 4.4 million views on the 7th, just nearly one day after its release, and got a hot response from global K-pop fans.

IRRIS, which has been receiving a lot of attention even before the first broadcast stage, is scheduled to appear on various music shows, starting with Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’, which will be broadcast on the afternoon of the 7th.
