LE SSERAFIM revealed the official fandom name on the 99th day of their debut.
LE SSERAFIM released a logo motion video on Weverse at midnight on August 8th. The team logo of LE SSERAFIM then turned into a line, and the fandom name “FEARNOT” appeared. Heo Yoon-jin then chanted, “FEARNOT.”
“FEARNOT” combines the infinitive “NOT” with “FEAR“. This name has three meanings. First of all, it expressed the worldview of LE SSERAFIM, who are moving forward without fear.
It also refers to fans who show fearless support and love for LE SSERAFIM. It also expands to how every moment LE SSERAFIM and fans meet “bloomed” (the Korean pronunciation of FEARNOT also means “bloom”).
LE SSERAFIM debuted in May with their first album “FEARLESS”. The group has been doing well on domestic and foreign charts throughout three months after its debut, making it the best performance among K-pop girl groups that debuted this year.
LE SSERAFIM has recently changed to a five-member system, including Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Heo Yoon-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae, after Kim Ga-ram’s official withdrawal from the group due to her school violence controversy.
