On September 27, LE SSERAFIM performed as a guest act at festivals hosted by Sogang University and Seoul National University of Science and Technology.
During their performance, the group showcased hits such as “Antifragile,” “Crazy,” “1-800-hot-n-fun,” “Unforgiven,” “Smart,” and “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife.”
This marked LE SSERAFIM’s first university festival performance since they were embroiled in a controversy over their live performance skills at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Back in April, LE SSERAFIM took the stage at Coachella but faced heavy criticism for their lack of live singing abilities.
In response, during last month’s “Crazy” showcase, Kim Chae-won commented, “While there were many regrets about the Coachella performance, it was a time of immense learning and realization for both the group and me personally. I believe showing continual improvement will be our lifelong mission.”
At the university festival, LE SSERAFIM performed with handheld microphones and made an effort to sing live despite intense choreography. The audience cheered enthusiastically and even sang along.
Netizens who watched the fan-captured videos commented, “This festival performance rightfully deserves praise,” “It’s great to see them proving their improvement – keep it up!” and “You can feel how much they enjoyed the stage, which made it even better.”
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM is also set to perform at festivals for Gwangju University, Hoseo University, Tongmyong University, and Yeungnam University.
