LE SSERAFIM Yun Jin & Sakura mention Ruka’s elimination, “We were very upset knowing Ruka couldn’t debut with us”
The performance of Ruka, who trained with LE SSERAFIM but was eliminated before the group’s debut, has been revealed.
The July 7th broadcast of JTBC’s “R U Next?” showed LE SSERAFIM Huh Yun Jin and Sakura recalled the final elimination of trainee Ruka.
That day, Ruka performed the song “Dumhdurum” with Funa and Haseul.
Ruka became a hot topic as she is known to be the member who got eliminated from the final evaluation of LE SSERAFIM.
Referring to Ruka, LE SSERAFIM Huh Yun Jin said, “When Ruka was with us, she must have felt so uncertain but no one knew about it”. Recalling their trainee days, Sakura expressed her regret, saying “The team leader came and said that Ruka would not be able to debut in the same team with us. I wondered how Ruka felt back then”.
Ruka also mentioned when she was eliminated from the final debut lineup of LE SSERAFIM. She said, “I wondered if this path was right for me. ‘I’ve come this far, can I start again?’, I thought. If I had worked a little harder, I could have been there, too. Since the unnies (LE SSERAFIM members) are working hard, I thought I should also strive more to debut and meet them again.”
Funa, Ruka, and Haseul showcased an attractive performance with relaxed stage manners. Upon watching it, Judge Gyu-ri commented, “I was impressed by the clean dance moves. Trainee Ruka did well. She is already good at singing and dancing, but I think she needs to show another thing beyond that”.
Jae Hwan said, “When trainee Haseul walked out during the intro, it thought I was watching a cool and confident model walking”. Lee Hyun shared, “I’m not sure if this stage could be considered harmonious. It looked separated rather than a joint performance. I couldn’t feel the harmony between the three”, drawing attention by giving a sharp evaluation.
Among the three trainees, Ruka received high level. Ruka said, “I felt so relieved. I was worried that if my level was lower, expectations for me would decrease”. Haseul was placed in middle level, while Funa ranked in low level.
