According to the tracklist, the new album includes a total of five songs, including the title track ‘EASY,’ which shares its name with the album, along with ‘Good Bones,’ ‘Swan Song,’ ‘Smart,’ and ‘We got so much.’
‘EASY’ is an appealing song that combines catchy R&B-style vocals with addictive melodies. Based on the trap genre, it represents a new musical attempt distinct from previous releases of LE SSERAFIM. Through ‘EASY,’ the group conveys their determination to make everything seem easy, even though nothing is.
Among the tracks, ‘We got so much’ was pre-released during the group’s first world tour in August last year, while ‘Good Bones’ was inserted into their first album trailer.
Following their previous album ‘UNFORGIVEN,’ all members participated in the songwriting for ‘EASY’ as well. Swan Song’ gains authenticity with lyrics written by Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, and Kazuha. ‘We got so much’ expresses gratitude to LE SSERAFIM’s fans, known as FEARNOT, with lyrics personally written by Huh Yunjin and Hong Eunchae. Huh Yunjin is also credited in ‘Smart.’
LE SSERAFIM reunited with Bang Si-hyuk, the producer they have been with since their debut, and producer team 13 for this album. Collaborating with a production team that understands their narrative the best, LE SSERAFIM poured their honest stories into the music.
LE SSERAFIM is set to make a comeback with their third mini-album ‘EASY’ on February 19th at 6 p.m KST. As it marks their first release in nine months since their first full album ‘UNFORGIVEN’ in May last year, the anticipation from the global K-pop fandom is already high. A highlight medley of the new album will be released on February 13th.
