LE SSERAFIM hit 20 million MV views and topped girl groups with the highest 1st day sales for a debut album with “FEARLESS”
LE SSERAFIM is seeing great achievements after just over a day since their debut.
LE SSERAFIM is one of the rookie idol groups that generate the most buzz these days, for being under the entertainment giant HYBE, having two former IZ*ONE members (Sakura and Chaewon) in the lineup, and being swept up in several controversies ahead of debut.
At 6 pm KST on May 2nd, LE SSERAFIM was officially launched with the release of their 1st mini album “FEARLESS”. Although there have been mixed opinions to the title track of the same name, most K-pop fans agree that it sounds public-friendly and has potential to do well on the charts.
On Bugs, all the tracks from the album made it into the real-time chart immediately after release, and “FEARLESS”, which entered the chart at 7 pm KST on May 2nd, is showing off its popularity by remaining at No.6 as of 7 am KST on May 4th. However, the rankings of “FEARLESS” on other domestic digital charts is not as positive.
LE SSERAFIM’s debut album “FEARLESS” is ranked No. 1 on iTunes’ Top Albums chart in 13 countries/regions including Japan, Brazil, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Chile as of 7 am KST on May 4th.
The MV for “FEARLESS” surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in about 19 hours after its release, setting a new record for achieving 10 million views in the shortest time among MVs by a rookie girl group that debuted this year. “FEARLESS” MV hit the 20 million views milestone around 2 am KST on May 4th.
Regarding physical album sales, LE SSERAFIM also achieved the record for the highest first-day sales of a debut album by a K-pop girl group in history with 176,861 copies sold on Hanteo in less than 24 hours of release.
Beside having their first music show stage in Korea on Mnet’s MCountdown on May 5th, LE SSERAFIM will also perform “FEARLESS” on famous Japanese music show “CDTV Live! Live!”
