LE SSERAFIM has sold 240,000 copies of its debut album in two days, the best record among girl groups
LE SSERAFIM has set a new record for album sales on the first day of its debut.
LE SSERAFIM announced the release of their first mini-album “FEARLESS” at 6 p.m. on May 2nd and held a debut showcase at 8 p.m. on the same day to greet K-pop fans all around the world. LE SSERAFIM’s debut album “FEARLESS” recorded 176,861 sales based on Hanteo Chart on May 2nd alone, which is its release date. This is the highest first-day physical sales among girl group’s debut albums.
In addition, 65,409 additional copies were sold on May 3rd, and “FEARLESS” sold a cumulative 242,270 copies within two days of release. In just two days, it surpassed the previous record of 227,399 debut albums sold in the first week. LE SSERAFIM’s debut album has been receiving enthusiastic responses overseas. As of 10 a.m. on May 4th, it topped iTunes’ “Top Album” chart in 13 countries/regions, including Japan, Brazil, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and Chile. The music video of the title song “FEARLESS,” which has the same name as the album, surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in 19 hours, setting a new record of achieving 10 million views in the shortest time among music videos of new girl groups that debuted this year. “FEARLESS” music video is still showing off its worldwide popularity on the third day of its release, surpassing 20 million views around 2 a.m. on May 4th (KST).
