LE SSERAFIM Enters US Billboard ‘HOT 100’ At No.99, Showcasing Rapid Growth In US Music Market

The girl group LE SSERAFIM has finally achieved their dream of entering Billboard ‘HOT 100’ with “Easy”

According to the latest chart released by Billboard in the US on March 5th, the title song “Easy” of LE SSERAFIM’s 3rd mini album entered the main song chart “HOT 100” at No.99. Following its huge popularity in the Korean and Japanese markets, the girl group continued to spread their name overseas by charting on US Billboard “HOT 100” Chart.

“HOT 100” counts data from physical sales, single and digital music, streams, radio airplay scores, and YouTube views. In particular, it is harder for foreign singers to chart because it is more difficult for them to earn radio airplay scores. Billboard counts from Friday to Thursday every week, and “Easy” managed to enter the chart despite being released at 6 p.m. on Monday.

LE SSERAFIM’s 3rd mini album of the same name also ranked No.8 on the Billboard 200 chart. By staying in Top 10 with two consecutive releases, “UNFORGIVEN” and “Easy”, LE SSERAFIM has proved their well-established and solid fandom in the US. In addition, they are the fourth K-pop girl group to dominate the two main charts of Billboard, following BLACKPINK, TWICE, and NewJeans.

This success is the result of the group’s strategic promotions and outstanding performance. They are actively using social media to promote the song instead of appearing on local TV and radio shows. The members created #MakeItLookEasy Shorts challenge collaborating with YouTube, and introduced their new music to YouTube users around the world. In addition, LE SSERAFIM took advantage of their strength and created numerous video content focusing on performances to captivate global music fans. 

LE SSERAFIM is growing in the US music market step by step. Whenever the group released a new album, they broke their own records on major music charts such as Billboard, Spotify, iTunes. After establishing their name on charts, the group released their first English digital single “Perfect Night” in October last year.

In the meantime, the highest daily streams of “Easy” according to Spotify’s US Daily Top Song increased by up to 40% compared to that of “Perfect Night”. The song also set a new weekly streaming record among all LE SSERAFIM songs. These achievements are proof that the group has attracted a lot of new listeners through their promotional activities.

On the 13th and 20th of next month, LE SSERAFIM will be the only K-pop girl group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The group is expected to certify their influence in the US music market with their Billboard records and Coachella performances.
