Kyuhyun After Moving To Antenna, “I Went To SM For Super Junior Practices And Had To Pay For Parking”

Episode 417 of JTBC’s program “Knowing Bros”, which aired on January 20th, featured the guest appearances of Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SISTAR 19’s Bora & Hyolyn.

On the show, Kyuhyun shared, “After moving to the new agency, advertisements came to me. I’m going to do a securities advertisement. I’m so happy”. Kang Ho-dong then asked Kyuhyun, “Super Junior is in SM, solo in Antenna, what’s the biggest difference?”.

Kang Ho-dong continued, “SM is a big company. It has hundreds of employees in a multi-story building. Antenna is small with very few people working in a four-story building. When there’s a project, everyone will be rushing altogether. For example, if you go abroad, Antenna will be like, ‘Let’s do it. Let’s go’ because their artists have never been doing overseas schedules. SM has a good system but not everyone has the same idea”.

Seo Jang-hoon commented, “There’s no affection in SM”. Kang Ho-dong then said, “Wasn’t you the last member who stayed in Super Junior’s dorm until the end?”. Kyuhyun replied, “I got kicked out. But there’s one thing I need to say. I went to SM for Super Junior practices and they told me to pay for parking”, expressing his disappointment.

He continued, “Still, I love SM”, adding “After leaving the dorm, I rented a house near SM’s old office building. My manager also left the company with me”.

Meanwhile, SISTAR 19’s Bora also talked about moving company twice. She said, “It I stayed in only one place, I had to follow some rules, so moving companies was an experience that helped broaden my horizons. But adapting to the new environment is difficult”, adding “I felt a little bit stuck in Starship”. Hearing that, Seo Jang-hoon said, “Then keep moving to a new one”. Hyolyn also shared her experience of setting up a one-man agency.
