Kwon So-hyun Shares Thoughts on HyunA & Yong Jun-hyung’s Wedding

Former 4minute member Kwon So-hyun extended her warm wishes to HyunA’s upcoming wedding with Yong Jun-hyung

The comments came during an interview in Haeundae, Busan, on October 3rd, where Kwon So-hyun is attending the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Kwon So-hyun’s latest film, “Tango at Dawn”, has been selected for the prestigious “Korean Cinema Today – Vision” section of the 29th BIFF, marking her third appearance at the festival following her debuts at the 26th edition and last year’s event. The film explores life’s relationships and attitudes through the stories of three distinctly different women working in a factory, with Kwon So-hyun portraying the optimistic and kind-hearted character “Ju-hee.”

During the interview, when asked about potentially returning to her musical roots or considering a group reunion, Kwon So-hyun shared a lighthearted moment.

“Sometimes when I meet my acquaintances, I end up having to perform 4minute songs again,” she said with a laugh, adding, “My body still remembers the choreography.”

She went on to reveal that the desire for a group comeback remains strong among the members, sharing, “Every time I meet the members, we talk about wanting to get back together as a group.”

Speaking about her relationship with HyunA, who previously showed her support by sending a coffee truck to Kwon So-hyun’s filming location, she noted, “HyunA unnie continues to cheer me on consistently. I recently met her and we caught up.”

Regarding HyunA’s upcoming marriage to Yong Jun-hyung, scheduled for October 11th at Samcheonggak in Seoul, Kwon So-hyun expressed both surprise and joy.

“I still can’t believe one of our members is getting married,” she said. “I received a wedding invitation too. I hope they live happily.”

However, when asked about whether she will attend the wedding or not, Kwon So-hyun explained her scheduling conflict, stating, “The Busan International Film Festival closes on the 11th, and our film is nominated in the competition section. The awards ceremony will be held on the closing day. For independent films, winning an award can significantly impact the film’s success, so I feel I should remain in Busan through the closing ceremony.”

As for her own future plans, Kwon So-hyun briefly touched on personal matters, sharing that she hopes to get married while in her 30s.

Meanwhile, HyunA previously faced intense criticism after announcing her marriage to Yong Jun-hyung.
