After the disbandment of girl group 4Minute in 2016, the youngest member Kwon So Hyun has been “reborn” as an actress, and is living “a new life”.
She recently appeared as the main character Hye Jin in the movie “Through My Midwinter”, which was released in cinemas on November 30th. Here, she co-starred with actor Kwon Da Ham, who assumed the role of Kyeong Hak, who has to give up his aspirations and becomes a deliveryman to pay back his mother’s debt. Overall, “Through My Midwinter” is a story about youth, who face realistic problems in their lives.
Through his movie, Kwon So Hyun draws attention by receiving rave reviews from film critic Lee Dong Jin. In particular, the critic could not hold back his praise for her acting, even leaving a review saying “I want to see Kwon So Hyun’s future performance” after watching “Through My Midwinter”.
Since the disbandment of 4Minute, Kwon So Hyun has been focusing on her acting career, and has appeared in various notable projects such as “The Secret Life of My Secretary”, “Class of Lies”, “Love All Play”, and most recently, “The Killer’s Shopping List”.
Now, she has taken a step forward in her acting career with positive feedback for her latest work, “Through My Midwinter”. She managed to delicately portray the realistic concerns of a 29-year-old woman, and sway the heart of the audience.
Recently, Kwon So Hyun announced via Instagram that “Through My Midwinter” is holding its first GV (conversation session with the audience), saying, “I am grateful for people and fans who came to support me. In addition, I would like to thank the audience who supported ‘Through My Midwinter’. The weather was very cold, but I hope you had a warm time. I sincerely thank you.”
On the other hand, “Through My Midwinter”, which stars Kwon So Hyun, won the Watcha Award and the Megabox Award at the 26th Busan International Film Festival.
