In a video posted on October 26 on the YouTube channel Fairy Jaehyung, titled “An Idol Who Debuted Three Times: No Time to Be Hurt, Really”, Kwon Eun-bi joined as a guest and revisited her 2018 re-debut through Mnet’s Produce 48.
She recalled, “At first, I was ranked somewhere in the 80s, and I cried so much. But in the next test, I jumped up to 5th place out of nowhere. That’s when I thought, ‘I have to keep showing them more,’ and I started working even harder.”

Initially graded “A,” she was later downgraded to a “C” because of her lack of Japanese proficiency. “At the time, both Japanese and Korean were important, but when I got nervous, I couldn’t even think in Korean,” she admitted.
Eun Bi also reflected on the varying dedication levels among contestants. “There was a clear difference in practice intensity between those who were pushed into it and those who truly wanted it. You could see it in the little things,” she said. “The world doesn’t reward just skill alone. I realized that again during the show.”
When host Jung Jaehyung asked, “Why does being good not matter if you don’t have charm?” she replied, “Charm is so important. I truly felt that. The energy that draws people in matters a lot.”

Jaehyung added, “I call that ‘talented.’ Some people can’t sing in tune, but with just one line, they give you chills. That’s a gift—it’s something you can’t teach. And you see it even among trainees.”
Asked how she felt when she finally debuted with IZ*ONE, Kwon Eun Bi shared candidly, “I cried a lot. I was happy, but honestly, I was more anxious than anything. I kept thinking, ‘What if I don’t make it?’ So it didn’t feel real at first.”
Through her story, Kwon Eun Bi revealed the tough realities behind the idol trainee system: that even with hard work and talent, sometimes it’s that unteachable spark—charm—that makes all the difference.
