North Korean‑born actress Kim Ah Ra has revealed how marrying a South Korean man completely changed her life for the better. In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel Kim Seo Ah TV on October 27, titled “A North Korean Beauty Actress Says Her Life Changed After Marrying a Korean Man!”, she openly shared her thoughts on marriage, motherhood, and the shift in her mindset.

Kim Ah Ra first spoke about her health, admitting, “My stamina is really bad, so I shouldn’t lose weight, but I keep losing it. I’m 42kg right now.” Hearing this, Kim Seo Ah expressed surprise, saying it was “almost like an idol’s weight.” Kim Ah Ra revealed that she gained about 14kg during pregnancy but lost 9kg after giving birth.

She described motherhood as a life‑changing experience, stating, “There’s a huge difference between having a child and not having one. It feels like my life is divided into a past and present life. That’s how much everything has changed. I need to rebuild my strength now.”

Reflecting on her marriage, Kim Ah Ra shared heartfelt gratitude and joy. “I feel like I received an extra blessing. I truly met the right person. Even right before the wedding, I thought, ‘I really met the perfect partner,’ and after living together, I’m even happier. There’s no one like him.”

She confessed that she once struggled with trust issues toward men. “Before marriage, I didn’t trust men. I thought all men would cheat. You know the saying, ‘No matter how beautiful your wife is, the excitement lasts only three months.’ I believed all men were the same, but that belief shattered after meeting my husband.”

Now focused on raising her child, Kim Ah Ra admitted she has stepped away from acting for the time being. “In the past, I wanted to work hard as an actress, but now I’m not active. If I act, I’d be away for days on set, day and night. What about my child then? That’s why I’m not acting right now,” she explained.

Kim Ah Ra’s story reflects not only her journey as a defector‑turned‑actress but also a woman who overcame distrust, found love, and embraced a new chapter built on happiness and family.
