Kwon Eun-bi on Kim Shin Young’s radio show, “Haewon of NMIXX, she can become the leader of the idol women’s club”
Kwon Eun-bi guested on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope”.
Appearing on MBC FM4U’s radio show “Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope”, which aired on October 20th, Kwon Eun-bi introduced her new album and shared several talks.
When DJ Kim Shin-young congratulated Kwon Eun-bi on the release of her 3rd mini album “Lethality” and asked, “What does the album name mean?”. In response, Kwon Eun-bi explained, “‘Lethality’ is explained as ‘fatal thing’ in the dictionary. It means I will show fans my fatal charms through this album”.
When Kim Shin-young asked, “What is your fatal charm in your opinion?”, Kwon Eun-bi replied, “Cute?”. As Kim Shin-young confirmed, “It’s cute”, Kwon Eun-bi said, “I think I said it wrong. Easy-going is my charm”, drawing laughter as she changed her answer.
Kim Shin-young then said, “I like the b-side song ‘Stimulation’ in this album. I was really surprised while listening to it”. Kwon Eun-bin agreed, “This song has a very unique vibe”. Kim Shin-young continued, “The important thing is that Kwon Eun-bi participated in writing and composing this album. When singers make super-speed comebacks within six months, they usually release singles, but you made a mini-album”. Kwon Eun-bi explained, “My company wanted me to do a mini album. The more albums I release, the more I grow. Also, I need to release a number of songs to do concerts.”
Kim Shin-young continued to ask, “What when you can’t come up with new songs, did you keep composing and writing lyrics?”. Kwon Eun-bi then said, “I kept working steadily, but I was quite busy this time. I had no time to do PPT”.
Referring to the title song “Underwater”, Kim Shin-young commented, “You filmed underwater again this time. You did it last time. All the albums are related to water”. Upon hearing this, Kwon Eun-bi explained, “I also filmed the music video this time while drinking the water. It is still connected to water”. As Kim Shin-young pointed out the choreography with the fan, Kwon Eun-bi said, “I’m trying to show a different charm. As I thought it looked quite similar to the last time, I began to wonder ‘How can I change it?’ and continue to do some research. From what I see, it looks the same. Still, I’m still looking for something new because my fans always encourage me to keep improving and growing.”
When Kim Shin-young introduced, “The 5th track is ‘Flash’. Park Moon-chi and Jang Deul-re worked together on this song”, Kwon Eun-bi responded, “When I heard that Moon-chi was going to give me a song, I thought it would have a retro vibe. But he gave me a completely different song that perfectly suits me”.
Telling the behind-the-scenes story of how they got to do music together, Kwon Eun-bi said, “Ever since my IZ*ONE activities, we often got introduced to each other before doing any work. Since we didn’t have time and couldn’t gather together to work, I received the suggestion ‘Why don’t we let another writer get a song from Moonchi?’, and agreed. I didn’t have time to work with Moon-chi, so I decided to just receive the song. But the moment I received the song, I found an interesting fact. As many as four people worked on the song together and one of them is the friend who always makes the guides for me when I make songs. Because she is a singer and can sing very well. When the guide is already good, the quality of the song also increases. She just happened to be in the songwriting and composing team. Her name is Da-hye”.
Kwon Eun-bi added, “She’s in the same team as Moon-chi. Da-hye made the song and directed me. I was very happy and Dahye also felt proud.”
Afterwards, during a speed Q&A, when asked, “Is there an idol who Kwon Eun-bi, a leader of the idol world, is paying attention to these days?”, Kwon Eun-bi said, “Haewon of NMIXX, who is not familiar with me at all and has only seen my face, but is good at grasping the idol world these days”.
She also added, “I only exchanged greetings with her at the shop and watched the video, and she knew very well about idols. There is a possibility that she will be lead of the idol women’s club.”
Kwon Eun-bi then delivered a voice letter to NMIXX Haewon, saying, “I’m looking for someone to fill the position of treasurer of the idol women’s club. If Haewon says it’s okay, I’ll let you pass.” In response, Kim Shin-young said, “Now the 3rd generation is complete. If NMIXX Haewon agrees, then Wendy, Kwon Eunbi, and Haewon are three generations.”
