Ejae, the Korean-American musician who wrote and composed the song “Golden” for KPop Demon Hunters, is getting married to her fiancé, producer Sam Kim, this November. According to reports released on February 6, the couple plans to tie the knot later this year.
Ejae previously shared photos on her personal social media account showing the moment Sam Kim proposed to her. The couple is said to have gotten engaged toward the end of 2023, and earlier this year, Ejae posted official engagement photos, signaling that their wedding was approaching.
The two first met in 2017 during a music session, where they began working together as songwriting partners. Since then, their professional collaboration gradually turned into a romantic relationship. In past interviews, Ejae had already hinted that she was planning to get married around November this year.
Speaking candidly, Ejae revealed that she has not yet chosen her wedding dress. She joked that preparing outfits for major events such as the Grammy Awards and the Oscars has taken priority, leaving her little time to think about bridal fashion.
Sam Kim, like Ejae, is also Korean-American. The couple is expected to hold their wedding ceremony in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Ejae has recently enjoyed major career success. “Golden,” which she both wrote and composed, won the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 68th Grammy Awards held on February 1 (local time) in the United States. The category honors outstanding composers behind music for films, dramas, and animated works, further cementing Ejae’s rising status in the global music industry.
