Korean BL drama “Semantic Error” surpassed Netflix contents to become the hottest streaming service drama 

The original BL (Boys Love) drama, which is still an unfamiliar genre to Koreans, is gaining amazing success. 

It is a drama in which male designs, insiders, computerists, and outsiders meet and form romantic relationships.

Idol group members Park Seo Ham and Park Jae Chan, who played the two main characters, are said to have captivated fans with their manga-like visuals.

Shortly after the first episode was released, sales of the original web novel rose 916% and sales of the webtoon increased 340%, raising expectations for the drama’s content.

While achieving No. 1 on the OTT content list for the first time as a BL drama, it has become the No. 1 weekly hot topic throughout OTT platforms, drawing enthusiastic responses from fans.

Cine 21, Korea’s leading movie magazine with the cover featuring actors from “Semantic Errors,” was sold out in the shortest time since its foundation despite releasing more copies additionally. The magazine has become a witness to the “Semantic Error” boom.

Korean and foreign fans are hoping Season 2 will soon be produced. However, it is not certain whether season 2 will become possible immediately with the main actor Park Seo-ham enlisting into the military.
