According to Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday on April 9 (local time), Barbie Hsu’s younger sister, Dee Hsu, who recently announced her return to the entertainment industry, attended a skincare brand event and met with fans. During an interview, she was asked whether she had suggested exercising together with her brother-in-law Koo Jun Yup. She replied with a smile, “I haven’t, but he doesn’t seem very interested. These days, he’s deeply immersed in painting.”

She continued, “He’s been focusing on creative work centered around my sister. Every time he completes a piece, he sends me photos, and I’m always amazed. He captures not only her gaze but even her soul it’s incredibly lifelike.” She added that more than ten portraits of Barbie Hsu in various forms have already been completed.

Dee Hsu also expressed her desire to hold an exhibition, saying it would be a shame to keep the artworks only at home. “I want to show the public how Barbie Hsu looks through the eyes of the person who loved her the most,” she said, adding that there are plans to offer the pieces at reasonable prices so fans can own them. She emotionally shared, “I hope people will remember my sister forever.”

When asked whether she plans to invite Koo Jun Yup to appear on a broadcast, Dee Hsu responded cautiously. “I don’t want to put him in a difficult position,” she said. “Right now, I want him to live peacefully in his own world.” However, she reassured fans by adding, “Our family gathers for meals every week, and from what I’ve seen, he’s doing much better. There’s life back in his eyes now, and he even smiles when we joke with him.”

She also firmly denied recent rumors of a property dispute between Koo Jun Yup and her mother, stating, “Our family is closer than ever and full of love,” dismissing the speculation.

Previously, Barbie Hsu one of Taiwan’s most beloved actresses and Koo Jun Yup’s wife passed away in February last year at the age of 48 due to pneumonia while traveling in Japan with her family.
