On April 9, Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday released an interview with Dee Hsu, the younger sister of the late Barbie Hsu.

During the interview, Dee Hsu spoke about her brother-in-law Koo Jun-yup, saying, “He is currently focusing on his artwork.” She added, “He often sends us photos of his paintings, and they are so detailed that they capture not only my sister’s eyes but even her soul.” It is reported that Koo has completed more than 10 portraits of Barbie Hsu so far.

She continued, “It would be such a waste to keep these works only at home. I hope many people can see the image of my sister painted by the person who loved her the most. I want everyone to continue remembering her.”

According to Dee Hsu, Koo Jun-yup has also been spending time with family members, sharing meals together every week and gradually regaining emotional stability. “There’s more life in his eyes now, and he even jokes and laughs with us. He’s getting better little by little,” she shared.

Meanwhile, Koo Jun-yup and Barbie Hsu first dated in 1998 but eventually parted ways due to their busy schedules. After hearing about her divorce in 2021, Koo reached out using her old contact information, reconnecting after more than 20 years. The couple announced their marriage in March 2022 and became legally married without holding a formal wedding ceremony.

Tragically, Barbie Hsu passed away in February 2025 during a trip to Japan due to acute pneumonia, leaving many fans in mourning.
