On the August 24th broadcast of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros,” the girl group Oh My Girl, who is in their 10th year since debut, appeared as guests.
On the show, Oh My Girl’s Hyojung revealed, “There is a story behind ‘Secret Garden,’ which we first performed on ‘Knowing Bros.’ After the song before ‘Secret Garden,’ our CEO called us in and said if ‘Secret Garden’ didn’t do well, he would let us go,” mentioning that the group was on the verge of disbandment but was saved thanks to the success of “Secret Garden.”
In response, Seo Jang-hoon remarked, “It’s just like us,” referring to how “Knowing Bros” was also on the brink of cancellation after 20 episodes.
Kim Heechul added, “At that time, Director Yoon Hyun-wook told us to start looking for another network. But we changed the show’s format to a classroom setting, and ‘Knowing Bros’ was revived.”
Then, Lee Soo-geun asked Oh My Girl, “Are you still with the CEO who almost let you go?” to which the members responded, “Yes, he’s still our CEO,” demonstrating their loyalty as a girl group.
