Knetizens criticize Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee over vacant real estate property

Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee are having to pay 200 million won per month due to their real estate property having no tenants.

On May 28th, a topic titled, “The recent status of Rain Kim Tae Hee couple’s Gangnam building” was published on the Korean forum ‘theqoo’, drawing huge attention.

According to this topic, a commercial building owned by Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee is still vacant with no buyers or renters. It is known that the couple purchased the building in June 2021 for 92 billion won (69 million USD). One year later, they listed the building for sale at a price of 140 billion won (105 million USD).

Although Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee previously denied selling the building, subsequent reports revealed that they withdrew the listing after failing to find buyers. According to real estate experts, despite the prime location of the building in Gangnam district, Seoul, the price of 140 billion won is deemed unreasonable.

Currently, the first and second floors of the building remain vacant.

As of now, the first and second floors of the building are still vacant and have not been rented out. As a result, Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee have to pay a monthly loan repayment of up to 200 million won (over 150,000 USD) for the purchase of the building. The famous couple has not yet commented on this information.

However, Korean netizens react not so positively regarding Bi Rain and Kim Tae Hee. Below are some of their comments:

  • It is disgusting that they tried to sell it for 140 billion won after just one year
  • Is Kim Tae Hee taking up acting projects again to pay off the loan?
  • These two names only remind me of real estate. Do they have any abilities?
  • Both of them are really too greedy…
