“King the Land” unveils behind footage of Lee Jun Ho & Im Yoon Ah’s kiss scene shoot

The behind-the-scenes story of how Lee Jun Ho struggled to create a beautiful kiss scene in “King the Land” drew attention.

On July 14th, the Youtube channel “JTBC Drama” uploaded a new making video of the drama “King the Land”.

The video shows Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah preparing to film the long-awaited kiss scene. In particular, Lee Jun Ho kept lifting and dropping a chair in order to create a perfect shirt fit before the shoot. He said, “I recently lost some weight so all the muscles have disappeared. That’s why I’m doing some exercises to show nice shoulders. I have nothing to show you since I’ve lost all my muscles. It’s a bit disappointing.”

As soon as they filmed the kiss scene, the director gave an OK sign in one try. Lee Jun Ho monitored the scene again while being soaked in water due to the sprinklers in the shoot. The director said, “This is what I wanted. I wanted you back to be completely wet”. Lee Jun Ho laughed and responded, “I acted only with my back”. Im Yoon Ah also praised Lee Jun Ho, saying “Your back is as large as the Pacific Ocean”.

Later, additional shoots of the kiss scene from Lee Jun Ho’s angle and Im Yoon Ah’s angle was done one by one. The two completed the scene with their professional emotional acting.

After finishing the last shoot, Lee Jun Ho trembled because he had been soaked in water for such a long time. He immediately covered himself with a blanket but it was not easy to warm his body up right away. While monitoring the scene with Lim Yoon Ah, Lee Joon Ho commented, “From the beginning until the second take, the trembling part was acting. But starting from the third take, I could no longer control myself. It was so cold”.

Meanwhile, JTBC’s drama “King the Land” airs at 10:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.
