“King the Land” sees slight rise in viewership amid 1-star review storm

“King the Land” has experienced an increase in viewership rating with its new episode, according to Nielsen.

According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership survey agency, the 10th episode of JTBC’s weekend drama “King the Land” (featuring Lee Jun Ho and Yoona as the leading couple), which aired on the evening of July 16th, recorded a nationwide average rating of 11.3% based on paid households.

Even though this is a 1.1% increase compared to the 9th episode’s viewership rating of 10.2% back on July 15th, it still falls short of the show’s highest rating of 12.3%, which was achieved in the 8th episode.

In this episode of “King the Land,” the deepening love between Gu Won (Lee Jun Ho) and Cheon Sa Rang (Im Yoona) was portrayed.

On the other hand, “King the Land” recently experienced a “storm” of 1-star reviews on international review platforms such as IMDb. This is due to accusations of the drama disrespecting Arab culture by introducing an “Arab Prince” character who indulges in alcohol and women.
