Ko Woo-rim Completes Military Service as Sergeant in Army Military Band
On May 19, 2025, Beat Interactive, the agency representing Ko Woo-rim, confirmed that he has finished his military service in the Army Military Band and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant, completing one and a half years since his enlistment in November 2023.
Even during his military service, Ko Woo-rim performed on KBS2’s Immortal Songs Armed Forces Day special as part of the Ministry of Defense choir. He also sang the national anthem at the 105th anniversary of the March 1st Movement ceremony.
On the day of his discharge, Ko Woo-rim will hold a YouTube live broadcast with Forestella members at 8 p.m (KST). With Ko Woo-rim, the youngest member, completing his service, all four Forestella members have fulfilled their military obligations, making them a fully ‘military-completed group.’
Additionally, Forestella will begin recruiting for the 3rd generation of their official fan club, ‘Soopbyeol,’ via the fandom platform Fromm starting on the 20th. Celebrating their 7th anniversary this year, Forestella is determined to connect with Soopbyeol through diverse music, performances, and content moving forward.
Ko Woo-rim Enlists in the Military in 2023 with Heartfelt Message
On November 20, 2023, Ko Woo-rim began his enlistment as an active-duty soldier. After undergoing basic military training, he is scheduled to serve in the army band.
The location and time of his enlistment are not disclosed for everyone’s safety. His agency expressed hope for the broad understanding and cooperation of many fans and the press.
Leading up to his enlistment, Ko Woo-rim said, “I hope you receive this news with joy and a light heart, anticipating that I will fulfill my duty of national defense splendidly and return.”
On the day of his enlistment, Ko Woo-rim announced through his official fan cafe, “I just left for the training camp with necessary items packed. I’m reading each and every message you sent, feeling the warmth and love for me, so I’m going with happiness.”
He continued, “I’ll come back healthy. I’ll also give frequent updates. I didn’t shave my head too closely since they say it has to be shaved again once inside.” Ko Woo-rim added, “Our fans, take care of yourselves. I’ll greet you again soon!”
As a PS, Ko Woo-rim humorously said, “The first meal inside today is Cheese Pork Cutlet. Looks like I’m in trouble losing weight.” Alongside these words, Ko Woo-rim shared a photo showing his short hair.
