According to reports on March 26, the two were seen on the afternoon of March 25 at a drugstore near Gwangnaru in Seoul’s Gwangjin District. Witnesses stated that Kim Young Dae and Lee Naeun appeared relaxed and natural, wearing casual workout outfits and caps while browsing everyday items such as toothbrushes.
Rather than concealing themselves, they reportedly spent time chatting and selecting items together, creating what observers described as a noticeably close and comfortable atmosphere. Their proximity in daily life also drew attention, as Kim resides in Gwangjin while Lee Naeun’s living area in Guri is located nearby, making it easy for them to meet and spend time together.
The two first met through the 2019 MBC drama Extraordinary You, where they worked together as a couple on screen. Since then, they are said to have maintained a friendly relationship. The timing of the sighting, however, just about a month before Kim Young Dae’s military enlistment, has fueled further speculation among fans and netizens.
In response to the growing rumors, both sides moved quickly to clarify their relationship. Kim Young Dae’s agency initially stated that the matter fell within the actor’s private life before adding that the two are simply long-time acquaintances. Lee Naeun’s side also denied the rumors, explaining that they often exercise with a group and emphasizing, “They are not dating, just close friends.”
While both parties have firmly denied the dating rumors, the sighting has nonetheless drawn attention, especially given the timing ahead of Kim Young Dae’s enlistment.
