Trainer Yang Chi Seung opened up about his close friendship with actor Kim Woo Bin during his appearance on the January 19 episode of KBS 2TV’s Malja Show.
Jung Beom Gyun introduced Yang by highlighting his important role in Kim Woo Bin’s life, saying, “When Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with cancer, the first person he went to see was Yang Chi Seung.”
Yang confirmed the depth of their friendship but also revealed he was not invited to Kim Woo Bin’s recent wedding to actress Shin Min Ah, which took place on December 20, 2025. The reason? Out of consideration.
“Woo Bin knew I was going through a tough time,” Yang said, referring to the closure of his gym business. “He knew things were hard for me, so he didn’t invite me to the wedding.”
Despite not attending, Yang spoke warmly of Woo Bin’s kind heart. He mentioned that in a recent broadcast, Kim Woo Bin had reflected on something he’d kept in his heart for ten years. Yang recalled, “When Woo Bin was battling cancer, I helped him set up a gym at home so he could continue working out, and that really helped his recovery.”
He concluded with a heartfelt message: “Anyway, Woo Bin—congratulations on your marriage.”
The moment highlighted the quiet loyalty and mutual respect between the two, offering fans a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes bond that has endured for years.
