During his battle with cancer, which included chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Kim Woo-bin admitted that hearing he had only six months to live was both startling and frightening.

Despite his fears, Kim Woo-bin did not dwell on the thought of not overcoming his illness. He mentioned that he saw his situation as an opportunity, albeit not from the very beginning, and continued to stay focused during treatment.

Kim Woo-bin described his condition as a time given to him by the heavens to “reflect and spend time with family” after not having had a break for over ten years since his debut. He acknowledged the support he received from his loved ones, stating that, despite the physical struggles of treatment, the support and prayers he received because of his public profile had a real impact.

His positive outlook contributed to his recovery, which even surprised medical professionals. He expressed his desire to share his gratitude and support with others, describing it as a “task of the heart” and noting that it took courage to express his feelings, especially to his parents.
