In the web entertainment show “Salon Drip 2,” released on October 1, Kim Tae-ri and Shin Ye-eun, stars of the upcoming tvN drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,” appeared as guests.
Jang Do-yeon opened the conversation by mentioning various sightings of Kim Tae-ri, saying, “I heard you were stopped at the WJSN concert due to your enthusiastic cheering.” Kim Tae-ri recalled that she attended the concert to support WJSN member Bona (Kim Ji-yeon), with whom she became friends while working on the drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” stating, “They told me not to take photos at the concert.”
When Jang Do-yeon asked, “What kind of disturbance did you cause?” Kim Tae-ri explained, “I thought it would be a fun atmosphere since it was an idol concert. But it was a calm environment, and I was forced to sit in my chair, thinking, ‘What’s going on?’ When the music played, I got excited and started jumping around, but I was stopped from doing that,” which made everyone laugh.
When Jang Do-yeon asked, “Did you think it would be like Psy’s Summer Swag Performance?” Kim Tae-ri responded, “Not exactly, but I thought I could get up if I wanted to. Sometimes I’m really energetic, and sometimes I’m not at all,” revealing her charming personality.
Meanwhile, “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born” is set against the backdrop of post-Korean War in the 1950s and tells the story of Jeongnyeon (played by Kim Tae-ri), a “naturally gifted sound genius,” as she faces competition, solidarity, and a glorious coming-of-age journey while striving to become the best national opera actor. The show premieres on October 12.
