Kim So-hyun Mentions Hwang Min-hyun, “Dating rumors? That proves our good chemistry in the drama”
Actress Kim So-hyun shared her thoughts after the end of “My Lovely Liar”
Kim So-hyun successfully wrapped up her romance drama “My Lovely Liar” and once again solidified her position as a romance goddess. Revealing the reason she chose this drama, Kim So-hyun shared, “I greeted viewers with this work after a two-year hiatus. I used to do a lot of historical dramas so I wanted to show a brighter look through a romantic comedy this time.”
Regarding her chemistry with Hwang Min-hyun, she said “I felt very happy when I heard I was going to do a rom-com with him. People around me also liked him. My friends said he was very handsome”, adding “He was calm and quiet at first but after we got closer, he became more playful and funny. We exchanged ideas and enjoyed filming happily”.
The actress continued, “At first when Do-ha (Hwang Min-hyun’s character) was still wearing a mask, the atmosphere was a little awkward. As Do-ha removed his mask, we became more relaxed. He understood my acting and adapted to the changes on the set well, which improved our chemistry”.
The two’s chemistry was so good that dating rumors even arose. Regarding the kiss scene the director posted on his SNS account, Kim So-hyun said, “He posted it not because we were dating but because he liked such chemistry. I and Hwang Min-hyun became so close that we made lots of jokes. We laughed so much that there were several NGs during romance shoots.” She added, “I think we looked good as a couple on the screen. I didn’t expect to receive such explosive responses for our chemistry. Since chemistry is very important for a romcom, I felt relieved knowing our chemistry was successful”.
Kim So-hyun then explained how she has changed from the past and expressed her desire to take on more acting challenges. The actress shared, “I think I’ve become less introverted and more relaxed when being around other people compared to when I was in my teens and early 20s. It is because my job requires me to interact with people. I tried to change myself and become more mature as an adult.”
Lastly, Kim So-hyun expressed her gratitude towards the drama “My Lovely Liar” and director Nam Sung-woo.
